染料廃水の塩化チタンと硫酸チタンによる凝集を利用したチタニアナノ粒子の調製とキャラクタリゼーション

染料廃水処理汚泥の減量化と光触媒に高活性を示すチタニア粒子の調製を目的とし,塩化チタンと硫酸チタンにより染料廃水を処理して得られるチタン含有凝集汚泥からチタニアナノ粒子の調製について検討した。塩化チタンと硫酸チタンを共凝固剤として染料廃水を処理すると染料廃水から有機物77%,窒素76%,リン95%が凝集沈殿でき,現在使用している廃水処理剤代替法として有効であることが分かった。塩化チタンと硫酸チタンそれぞれ単独で染料廃水を処理し,600℃で焼成することで酸化チタン粒子(以下,DCT,DSTと示す)を得た。X線回折法と電子顕微鏡観察およびエネルギー分散型蛍光X線分析によりDCTとDSTはともに20 nmのアナターゼ構造を有する二酸化チタンで,不純物として炭素,シリコン,そしてナトリウムを含んでいることが分かった。また,窒素吸着法によりDCTとDSTはそれぞれ71および69 m2/gの表面積を有することが分かった。DCTとDSTはともにUV照射によりアセトアルデヒドを完全に除去できることを確認し,光触媒として有望であることが分かった。
