The estimation of amount of droplet generation by ultrasonic atomization is important from the engineering and mechanism clarification standpoints. The effect of liquid properties on the atomization rate was investigated. Samples were ethanol and t-butanol solutions. When the molar fractions of ethanol and t-butanol were 0.4 and 0.1, respectively, the atomization rates had minimum values. The atomization rate correlated well with the sound absorption coefficient.
