数種の花類生薬の鑑別に関する研究 : 花粉形態について

In this study, identification of floral crude drugs, e.g. Crocus, Carthami Flos, and Ghamomillae Flos, was attempted by means of scanning electron microscope. The difference in size of the pollen grains revealed by SEM discriminated Matricaria chamomilla from Anthemis nobilis, and Chrysanthemum cinerariaefolium from C. coccineum. Fine configuration of pollen grains of Crocus sativus and Carthamus tinctorius were also shown. Thus, size and fine structure of pollen grains revealed by scanning electron microscope were found to be characteristic features for each plant species. And by comparing the fine structures of those pollen grains found in crude drug specimens with those of possible original plants, discrimination of those crude drugs were successfully performed: Observation of fine configuration of pollen grain surface patterns was most serviceable for the identification of Carthami Flos, Crocus, Chamomillae Flos and Pyrethri Flos.
