From the roots of Scutellaria baicalensis GEORGI, three new sesquilignan glycosides were isolated, together with one known lignan glycoside, (+)-5,5'-dimethoxylariciresinol. The structures of the 3 new glycosides were shown to be hedyotol C 4"-0-β-D-glucopyranoside, hedyotol D 4"-O-β-D-glucopyranoside and erythro-guaiacylglycerol-β-syringaresinol ether 4"-O-β-D-glucopyranoside on the basis of the chemical and spectral data.
