Magnetorheological fluids (MRF) are two-phase suspension of micron-sized magnetic particles in a non-magnetic carrier liquid such as mineral oil and silicon oil The rheological response of MRF results from the polarization induced in the suspended particles by application of an external magnetic field. Characteristic of MRF depend on the volume faction, percentage of magnetic particle in carrier liquid. We propose a qualitative analysis of these effects by measuring properties of ultrasonic propagation velocity. Ultrasonic propagation velocity MRF change with the application of an external magnetic field.
