In this report, we introduce a novel algorithm for jointly estimating carrier frequency offset and I/Q imbalance when both are present in the front end of a MIMO-OFDM system. The new algorithm is a closed form solution of both the carrier frequency offset and I/Q imbalance parameters in the absence of noise. Simulation results show that systems employing the new algorithm has PER performance practically the same as that of a system without front end degradations.
