The turbochargers are rapidly spreaded to passenger cars in recent few years. Turbochargers are used to get high output power, low fuel consumption and comparatively clean exhaust gases. In order to attain these targets, the turbochargers are obliged to have high efficiency and wide flow range with compactness by the limit of engine compartment volume and it leads to have high specific speed valule. The important elements - compressor and turbine - are studied to get high efficiency and wide operating range with high specific speed. Then, high specific speed turbocharger is developed with high efficiency 0.75 in compressor 0.82 in turbine whose diameter are 52mm and 50mm respectively. These specific value are 0.24 and 0.22 and those values exceed far from previous value. This turbocharger is attached to the engine, then excellent results are indicated to have high response in acceleration with high reliability.
