Influence of Temperature on the Structure and Charge Distribution of Lithium Niobate Single Crystals

The structural distortion and charge distribution of lithium niobate single crystals have been investigated at different temperatures, from the viewpoint of constituent chemical bonds. Chemical bonding behaviors of constituent atoms in lithium niobate crystallographic frame are quantitatively described on the basis of crystal structure data obtained at different temperatures. The crystal structure and charge distribution of lithium niobate are strongly dependent on temperature; this dependence is given in detail in the current work.
