Differentiation of the callus derived from the leaf segment of Youngia denticulata (A) were observed. Youngia denticulata is a biennial plant in its natural state. In the first year they grow and go through winter in a rosette state then grow shoots in the spring. However, the plant derived from the callus went through the rosette state during differentiation. In other words, the plant developed shoots without passing through the rosette state. Leaves developing on this callus were cut from the segments and used to generate material to make a second callus. This was planted in a pot and flowered. A comparison of the leaf morphology (vein, branch attachment, flowering time, numbers of florets, fertility of pollen) was made between: Plant A. The one grown in the experimental fleld. Plant C. The second callus which was generated from the first. The plants grown from the first callus formation and the second regeneration were repeatedly variegated in their morphological appearance and differentiation of the branches. On the chromosome level, the first callus consisted of cells with 2n=10 and the cell division was normal. After several months cultivation, the cells of the first callus and the one derived from it, i.e. the second callus, had cells with different chromosome numbers of 2n=11. To observe the surface of the calli a Nikon stereo microscope was used. On the surface of the calli, young leaves, leaf-like structure, root-like structure, shoot-like structure were recognized. The colour of the calli show varieties that were native red-purple, white, green, pale-yellow. The callus on the medium D were almost yellowish white and showed little differentiation.
