RYU'S R.M.A.T. was employed in the experiment for the survey of the diagnostic and stray dogs. The dog sera were examined against L. icterohaemorrhagiae and L. canicola. The results of these investigation are: 1. The positive reaction of diagnostic dogs from four cities in Osaka Prefecture was 20.8%, 22.5%, 10.0% and 5.0%. The average was 18.8%. That of the stray dog in Sakai-city was 37.7%. 2. The positive reaction against L. icterohaemorrhagiae, L. canicola and both L. icterohaemorrhagiae and L. canicola was similar in results. 3. The positive percentage was 2.5 times higher in the male than in the female. 4. The positive ratio of sick and healthy dogs was 17.4%: 24.5%. 5. The positive reaction in the diagnostic and stray dogs under 5 years old was higher than in those of other ages. 6. As for the monthly positive reaction, it was in the highest state in autumn, the lowest in summer and the middle in winter and spring.
