The occurrence of the nerves in the uterus of human embryos was examined in 26 embryos ranging from 6 weeks (wk) to 10 months (mo) and in 7 newborns, a total of 33. 1) In 6 wk embryos, the spinal ganglia were already observed, and the nerve fibers developed from the sacral region. 2) In 8 to 9 wk embryos, the nerve bundles obviously developed from the spinal ganglia in the sacral region and the plexus was formed in the pelvis. 3) In 6 mo embryos, the distribution of the ganglia in the pelvis became obvious and the positional relation of the uteus and bladder was obvious. 4) In 7 to 8 mo embryos, the ganglia and the nerve cells were almost completed morphologically. 5) In 9 mo embryos, the form and distribution of the peripheral nerves in the wall of the uterus were almost completed.
