The main purpose of this study is to develop a software tool which assists in extracting useful numerical data from graphs in published papers on magnetic materials without serious human efforts. Although graphical data are important and convenient to us to obtain necessary information quickly and correctly, it is very important to convert graphical data to numerical data from the view point of storing and treating them in computer systems. In the present experiment, 100 graphs, randomly chosen from existing literature, were completely extracted and among them, 68 graphical data were converted automatically to numerical data. A new technique is introduced to recognize many-valued functions and complicated graphs.
