A spectrographic method was studied to determine silicon, manganese, copper and titanium in ferrochrome with a medium quartz spectrograph. A stable excitation of ferrochrome in a solid state was achieved by selecting suitable discharge conditions, and then the favorable spectral line pair of each element to be determined was investigated by using chromium as internal standard. The calibration method shown in the second report, ^<(2)> in which an element fluctuating in concentration was used as an internal standard, could also be applied to the analysis of ferrochrome. The line pairs used were as follows : CrI 2504.31A/SiI 2506.90A, Cr 2798.67A/Mn 2798.27A, CrII 3295.43A/ CuI 3273.96A, CrII 3295.43A/TiII 3372.80A, and CrII 3295.43A/FeI 3265.62A.
