Dielectric constants of six kinds of compounds including the water of crystallization and of their six anhydrous compounds were measured, and it has been found that the additivity relation of molar polarization holds for the water of crystallization, and that the molar polarization per water of crystallization, when calculated by the Clausius-Mosotti equation, is constant within 5% error. Powder samples are employed for the measurement of these dielectric constants; the true dielectric constants are calculated by the new deduction formula. Temperature variations of these constants have been also observed.
