In this paper using a new formula of thermionic emission obtained from the value of Fermi-surface introduced by Hirone and Miyahara, without using the formula of thermionic emission directly connected with Wilson's theory of semi-conductors generally used, various numerical calculations was made on mainly the experimental results of BaO by Nisibori, Kawamura and Hirano. Then, comparing to obtained results with experimental results, the change of the work function of oxide cathodes with degree of activation and temperature which was not to be able to explain by Wilson's theory, was interpreted with this theory as a trial. Furthermore, the similarity between electric conductivity and thermionic emission was considered and also suggested on this results.
