The present study deals with a simple replication method for SEM observation. The results, shown in the table and the figures, are the following: 1. For the observation of the surface structure of plant materials replication method is effective, since the process as of fixation, dehydration and drying are omitted. 2. SUMP method used for optical microscope can also be applied to simple replicas for SEM. Besides, various sorts of adhesives and synthetic resin paints were known effective, too. 3. Quality of replicas depends on the liquidity, speed of the solidification, and the separation from the samples. So the following conditions were recognized to be requisit for replica materials. (1) low surface tension, thin membrane and low elasticity of the replication liquids. (2) solidifying in a short time, producing no crystals or fine grains, and having the smallest contraction. (3) separating easily from the samples after solidification without any harms of the materials.
