The ferroelectric vinylidenefluoride-trifluoroethylene-hexafluoropropylene (VDF-TrFE-HFP) terpolymers with VDF contents of 54 mol% to 57 mol% and HFP contents of 0 mol% to 6 mol% were investigated by differential scanning calorimetry, X-ray diffraction and dielectric constant. The crystallinity of ferroelectric form I crystal decreased with increasing HFP content in the terpolymer. This is due to a lattice expansion and a destruction of unit cells containing the HFP as a large defect. Curie temperature depression of about 25℃ was observed in the sample with 6 mol% HFP content. The correlation between the change of the Curie temperature and the lattice spacing was found in the terpolymers.
