Slope estimation method II, which enables one to utilize partial regions of thermally stimulated current curves easily, especially those without peak coordinates obtained by the partial-heating technique and so on, is proposed. This new method, which has been established from the original concept of the "fundamental element", enables one to accurately evaluate E_t, the energy depth of carrier traps, by utilizing only two slopes freely selected from the objective single TSC curve on the newly defined Arrhenius coordinates. As the method uses differential quantities, it enables one to sensitively detect background noise from the partial TSC curves obtained experimentally, leading to evaluation of accurate E_t. The original concept of the one-to-one relation and a theory without any approximations make possible excellent characteristics with no limitations of application.
