A low-temperature X-ray diffraction attachment based on the cold gas flow method is presented; the attachment is applicable to a Weissenberg goniometer whose structure is similar to that of a Nonius or Stoe goniometer. It can be used down to 15K with the equi-inclination method. The temperature gradient around a specimen crystal can be made as small as 0.1 K/mm. The specimen temperature can then be determined with an accuracy of 0.1K. A cooling element can readily be replaced, if necessary, by a heating element, which works up to 700K. As an example, an application to a structural study of a perovskite antiferromagnet KMnF_3 is given.
