Somatic chromosomes of Crepidiastrum keiskeanum, C. lanceolatum and C. platyphyllum, all in the section Suffruticosae, were investigated by the standard aceto-orcein staining method and fluorescent in situ hybridization (FISH) using 18S ribosomal DNA (rDNA) probe. The three species had commonly the chromosome number of 2n=10, the chromosome complement of two large submedian-, six subterminal- and two small submedian-centromeric chromosomes and the rDNA site on the secondary constriction at the proximal region of the short arm of two long submedian-centromeric chromosomes.
