When zygotic embryos of ginseng were cultured on Murashige and Skoog's (MS) medium supplemented with all combinations of 6-benzyladenine (BA), GA_3, and ABA of 5 μM each, flower buds were induced on the medium with either BA, BA + GA_3, or BA + GA_3 + ABA. In all cases flower buds were formed on elongated axillary branches from the cotyledonary node, while the apices remained vegetative.
