Halictophagus (s. str.) stenocrani sp. nov. (Strepsiptera, Halictophagidae) is described on the basis of a male extracted from Stenocranus minutus (FABRICIUS) (Homoptera, Delphacidae) collected in Shimane Pref., Honshu, Japan. It is distinguishable from the congeneric species by the shape of aedeagus which is basally swollen and of compact antenna.
