• Xenos peruensis sp. nov. is described based on the female specimens extracted from Polistes lanio lanio (FABRICIUS) (Hymenoptera : Vespidae) collected at Tingo Maria, Departamento de Huanuco, Peru. This new species is allied to X. hospitus OLIVEIRA et KOGAN from Brazil but differs from it by the larger size of the cephalothorax in the female and the short head and the shape of the tentorium in the triungulin.
