Allomorphosis of the Hind Wings in the Family Cerambycidae (Coleoptera) : II. Interspecific Allomorphosis in the Subfamily Lepturinae

Interspecific allomorphic transformation patterns of the hind wings in forty-seven lepturine species were statistically analyzed. Relationships between the interspecific allomorphic transformation patterns and the taxonomic grouping were discussed. Through comparison of the values of seven interspecific allomorphic constants (α), it was revealed that the interspecific allomorphic transformation pattern of the hind wings in the two tribes, Stenocorini and Lepturini, agrees almost completely with the "Type IA" pattern which was recognized and defined in the previous paper (SUZUKI & TERANISHI, 1977) on the intraspecific allomorphic transformation patterns. A model explanatory of the evolutionary processes in the hind wings in the lepturine species was presented.
