In this paper, the author discussed homology and described nomenclature of the hind wing venation of the family Chrysomelidae comparing with that of the allied two families (Cerambycidae and Bruchidae) and basing on Snodgrass' system. Chujo (1953) adopted the system previously for this family. He succeeded in the establishment of stable nomenclature of the hind wing venation by finding the Snodgrass' "Cu_2" vein and showed that the nomenclatural system could equally be adopted for the most highly specialized group of the order Coleoptera. The author proved and confirmed his work to be highly reliable. For example, Snodgrass' "Cu_2" vein has not been found at least in highly specialized groups of the order Coleoptera by many authorities except Chujo, and in this order, the vein usually considered as "Cu_2" is not true Cu_2, but Cu_<1b> of Snodgrass in many cases. The identification of the hind wing veins may be improved in future by the adoption of this system. The author pointed out that the hind wing venation in the superfamily Chrysomeloidea degenerates from a complex type to simple one in general. He also referred to the phylogenetic relationships among three families of the superfamily basing on the comparative study of this character and reached an assumption that, as have been supported from many other views, both families of Chrysomelidae and Bruchidae derived independently from certain ancestral types of the family Cerambycidae.
