• Drosophila orientacea Grimaldi, James & Jaenike, known as an insular member of the D. testacea species-group, was discovered in eastern Eurasia (Primorye and Northeast China), and this species was found to be sympatric in some areas with its continental sibling D. testacea von Roser. Interspecific matings were quite limited between these siblings, and no F_1 progeny was obtained in any crosses.
