Japanese cultured pearl industry has somehow managed to overcome the depression and seems to have entered into the stage of stabilized growth. However, in comparison with the De Beers control system of the world diamond market, the Japanese cultured pearl industry seems to be far behind De Beers in her ability of organization, although the industry believes as her task to uniformely control the cultured pearls in the world. It is her future subject to stably control the price and supply of cultured pearls on the world wide scale, and to settle herself in the form which matches the structure of Japanese industry, since it is the Japanese who initiated cultured pearl industry.
