概要

The mercury (II) ion concentration in the diluted mercury (II) chloride solution at the concentration levels of ppb to ppt decreases dramatically with a continuous bubbling of air through the solution. The rate of loss of mercury increases greatly with an increase of velocity of the bubbling and with the more elevated temperatures of solution, while it decreases greatly by addition of small amount of L-cysteine or tetrachloroaurate (III).
