Thermal Expansion and de Hass-van Alphen Effect of CeRh_2Si_2

We laave grown single crystals of CeRh3Siz and LaRh3Siz, and measured the ternperatturedependence of the thertnal expansion coefficient. The magnetic cortaponent of the thernaal coe['-ficient in CeRhxSiz has been analyzed on the basis of tlte crystalline electric field. VVe have alsosvxcceeded in observing the de Baas-x'an Alphen (dHvA) efl'ect of' CeRhzSi3. The detected dHvAbranches are 81112111 in cross-section and are olcserved in a nax'roxv angle region centered at thesyttanuetrical axis, reflecting the tnvrltiply-connected Fern'ni strrf'?tce,
