de Haas-van Alpen Oscillations and Magnetic Properties of YbPb_3 and EuPb_3

• We observed the de Haas-van Alphen oscillatiorrs of' a Pattli paramagnetic compotnnd YbPb3and an antiferromatgnetic connpotrnd EtrPb3. Detected Ferrni svrrfaces in YbPb3 are three inrtttttaber, which are well explained by the FLAPXV band calcttlatiozas. The cyclotron efl'ectiveraaasses are in the range froxn 0.21 to 0.6Omg. Tlae paran?agnetic and antiferrottaagnetic Ferrtaistrrfaces were detected in EtrPl.>3. The f'ortaaer Fertaai strrf'ace is the sarne 21S in YbPb3, which isseen by magnetic breakdown. EtrPb3 is a divalent cornpottnd whose magnetic properties weresttrdied by the specific heat, rnagnetic strsceptibility and high-field raaagnetization experiraaents.
