M6ssbauer measurements on iron-containing biorninerals in the limpet radttla have been carriedout in the teunperature range 5 -420 K. Spectra show the same parameters and behavior as seenin goethite. The synthesis of iron-naineral in the limpet radula seems to occur only in the formof goethite among many iron oxides.
