An experimental investigation has been made of the lateral velocity of two spherical particlessedimenting symmetrically about the axis of a vertical circular cylinder. The particle Reynoldsnumber is in the range of 0.025-0.171. The ratio of the particle radius to the cylinder radius isin the range of 0.0086 -0.0174. The particles sedimenting near the cylindrical wall leave the walland those sedimenting near the axis migrate away from the axis. The experimental results showthat two spheres move to an equilibrium position at a distance from the axis of about 0.4 timesthe cylinder radius. This is much different from the result of a single small sphere which rnovesto the axis of a cylinder.
