Hyperfine Field and Electric Field Gradient at Various Cation Sites in RBa_2Cu_2NbO_8 and RSr_2Cu_2GaO_7

We have investigated antiferromagnetic nuclear resonance (AFNMR) for Cu-site as well asnuclear magnetic (NMR) and quadrupolar (NQR) resonances for La, Nb, Ga-sites in antiferro-magnetic insulators RBa3CuzNb0g (R : La,Pr,Nd) and RSr3Cu3GaO7 (R : La,Pr,Nd,Y).Hyperfine magnetic fields at the Cu-site are very close to values pttblished for RBazCu3O5analogs. Quadrupolar frequencies for Ctr in RSr3CtmzGaO7 are also close to those for RBazCtr3O?but in RBazCuzNb0g these values are about 50% higher. Axially symrnetric electric field gradient at the La and the Nb-sites in RBazCttxNbOs and asymmetric one at the La and Ga-sites inRSr3CuzGaO7 are in accord with their structures. Split INQR spectrum for Ga in NdSrpCuzGaO7evidences the difl'erent Cu-AF spin stacking sequence in this material. Possible cation disorderin RSr3Cu3GaO7 is discussed.
