The conductarace iua superlattices is studied tnsing the Landauer forxnula w'ith atransfer-matrix technique. The charac:teristics of the superlattice, i.e., the layer struc-lure and rotughness at interfaces, are treated in a tiglat-binding model on a two-dinaen-sional long-strip lattice. In this context the magnetoresistance of a magnetic Fe/ Crsuperlattice, whicla is known to show giant magtaetoresistance, is discussed.
