Reflectivity Spectra in Single Crystals of Cr_3Te_4,Cr_2Te_3 and Cr_2Se_3 between 0.3 and 23eV

Single crystals of Cr.Te., Cr.Te. and Cr.Se. were grown by the chemical vaportransport technique. Reflectivity spectra of these c:rystals were measured for photonenergies between 0.3 and 23 eV. Real and imaginary parts of optical conductivitywere calculated from reflectivity spectra. The spectra of the real part of conductivityin chromium tellurides were compared with flue joint density of states curvesevaluated from the energy bands calculated by Di.jkstra. Fairly good agreement wasobtained between experiment and calculation for Cr.Te..[reflectivitynickel ]l arsenidelspectrum, synchrotron radiation, Cr.Te., Cr.Te, Cr.Se.,structure, optical conductivity, joint density of states
