Magnetic properties of a random mixture of two antiferromagnets with competingIsing and XY anisotropies are investigated in a pair-spin theory which is derived by expanding the free energy into a cluster series and taking pair-spin clusters into account.In the present theory local environment effect is naturally taken into consideration.The present calculation confirms that the Ising anisotropy maintains its charactermore strongly than the XY anisotropy when they compete. One of the interestingresults is that in some cases the magnetic susceptibility does not show appreciableanomaly at the transition point between the OAF phase and the antiferromagneticphase. In the OAF phase the direction of the thermal average of each spin scattersdepending on the local atomic configuration around it. The distribution is almostuniform when the anisotropy is strong.
