Heat capacity of (La...Cag..)MnO. was measured by a laser-flash method. Ananomaly of the heat capacity with the entropy change of AS=0.54 cat/mol-Kwas observed near magnetic transition temperature T.. By assuming a simpleHeisenberg model, an exchange interaction constant was determined to be J:8.0 cat/mol. The value of the magnetic heat capacity at T. was AC=4.2R, whichis nearly equal to the value calculated from a double exchange model. The ana-lysis of the heat capacity near T. showed clearly that the transition is of secondorder and induced only by the change of electronic state.
