Hall Effect on Some of the Magnetic Compounds

A sensitive Hall measuring apparatus has been constructed, and making use of it some of magnetic compounds, nickel oxide, iron telluride, nickel telluride, and iron sulfide have been studied. Especially, iron sulfide was studied because of the interest for its remarkable anisotropies of conductivity and susceptibility. From the results, one may say that the anisotropy of the conduction is responsible to the anisotropy of its mobility but not to the carrier concentration.
