Shifts of the magnetic transition temperatures of MnP, $T_{\text{c}}$($=$290.5 K), the Curie temperature, and $T_{\alpha}$($=$47 K), the transition temperature from the screw spin state to the ferromagnetic state, are measured in the presence of uniaxial pressure. Strains due to uniaxial pressure are measured in the vicinity of $T_{\text{c}}$, and strains in the vicinity of $T_{\alpha}$ are estimated from the sound velocity. From these data, the strain dependence of $T_{\text{c}}$ are obtained as $\partial T_{\text{c}}/\partial e_{a}{=}(4.49\pm 0.32)\times 10^{3}$ K, $\partial T_{\text{c}}/\partial e_{b}{=}(-1.05\pm 0.25)\times 10^{3}$ K, and $\partial T_{\text{c}}/\partial e_{c}{=}(4.56\pm 0.28)\times 10^{3}$ K, and the strain dependence of $T_{\alpha}$ are estimated as $\partial T_{\alpha}/\partial e_{a}{=}-3.02\times 10^{3}$ K, $\partial T_{\alpha}\partial e_{b}{=}16.5\times 10^{3}$ K, and $\partial T_{\alpha}/\partial e_{c}{=}-2.11\times 10^{3}$ K. The interatomic-distance dependence of the exchange interactions in MnP is discussed.
