By making use of the Novikov and Holder inequalities, it is proved that the leading asymptotic form of the q-th order intermittency exponent τ(q) in fully developed turbulence linearly depends on q for positive, large q values. Furthermore, by evaluating the next order contribution of the intermittency effect to moment functions of energy dissipation fluctuation, the correction to the above asymptotic form is derived, which turns out to be an exponential function of q. These results are discussed in comparison with phenomenological cascade models of intermittency so far proposed.
