Order-Disorder Transition of a Two-Dimensional Spin 1/2 Heisenberg Antiferromagnet with Nonmagnetic Impurities

Considering the redtuction effect of the number of magnetic atoms and using Kondo and Ya-maji's rnethod and the coherent potential approxinaation, we investigate nxagnetic properties ofa spin l /2 Heisenberg antiferromagnet with nonmagnetic irnpurities on a square lattice. It isfound that the critical irnptrrity concentration x. is different from the percolation threshold x,in the ground state. The ground state changes f'rorn the N!el ordered state to a disordered stateat x. 6 0.07. The coherent exchange integral J, vanishes at x, : 0.56, For O< x< x. thesystem is in the ordered state and f'or x.< x< .lI'. in the disordered state. This disorderedstate is characterized by the finite J. and energy gap and the exponentially decaying correlationfunction. This result explains that the reduction rate of the N!el ternperature of Mg-dopedL2l2CLlO4 is larger than that of K2COF4 and K2MIlF4. The trnifortaa stxsceptibility as a functionof ternperature and concentration is obtained.
