By using the closed-form solution of the 1VIori forrntrla for transport coefficients obtained veryrecently, the Nlori forrntrla and the Kubo formula have been proved to be identical to eachother ['ormal1y. However, once any approxitna,Lion procedure is introduced, there rraay appearsorne discrepancy between these forznula. Then, as f'or typical examples, xve calctzlate the NJoriforztauJa and the Ktzbo formula for the optical conductivity in a free electron systeraa with inapurityscattering and for that in a U-infinite d-p model in soraae approximate ways and show that bothfortnula coincide with each other practically and the men'xory function approxirnation whichhas been often etaaployed as one of the naost important applications of the lVIori fornaula isjttstified only in the high freqtzency liznit. These restnlts suggest that the lVIori formula is no moreconvenient to be used for calcvrlating transport coefficients than the Ktrbo forznula,
