Dielectric Properties and Phase Transition of Polydiacetylene-bis (p-Toluene Sulphonate)

Dielectric constants are zneastrred for the crystals of a polydiacetylene (PTS); dielectric anorna-lies are observed in the directions parallel and perpendictzlar to the chain axis of PTS in atemperature rar'nge including a phase transition around 195 K. The crystals of PTS show anantiferroelectric transition. We derive a Landau free energy' on the basis of group theoreticalan?tlysis of both the laigh and low tetnperattrre phases. The anounalotrs dielectric behavior isdiscvtssed with the free energy.
