The texture of polyoxymethylene film, crystallized by drawing melt, was determined from X-ray high angle and low angle diffraction patterns. On the basis of this structure, a certain simplified model is proposed on the orientation of molecular chains in the amorphous parts of a sample, taking into account the results on dielectric dispersion. It is concluded that most of chains in these parts take rather helical form than random coil configuration connecting the adjoining lamellar crystallites, and the axes of helices are oriented around the draw direction with inclination less than 25°.
