Direct Observation of the Incommensurate Superlattice of Rb_2ZnBr_4 by Transmission Electron Microscopy

The incommensurate superlattice of Rb_2ZnBr_4 was observed directly by a transmission electron microscope at room temperature. The lattice image of (001) planes (d=0.971 nm) was modulated by a superlattice image. The mean distance of the superlattice was 3.38 nm and the wavelength q_0 was 0.286 C^*.
