Molecular weight dependence of drag reduction behaviors of xanthanpolysacharide and sodium polyacrylicacid solutions is observed. The relation ofi cf- Cp""' X M"" is obtained between the molecular xveight ( M ) of the polymer andthe friction factor relation of l /V' f =4.0?log (Re- ! f ) -0.4-I-J, where f, Re and iare a Fanning frictiorx factor, a Reynolds number and a constant, respectively.
