We present an exactly solvable quantum SU(A# ) (.A# : arbitrary integer >2) spinchain with long-range ( - inverse-square) interactions. The model generalizes the so-called Haldane-Shastry system which corresponds to A4=2. We find the Lax pair forthe system which guarantees the integrability of the system. An exact many-bodyground-state wave function with particular symmetry is explicitly constructed.[quantum spin chain, long-range interaction, Haldane-Shastry system, complete lj integrability[
