The NMR liute S]12Ll)C in a weak external field is ixtx'estigated for the nuclear spinsysteun w'ith anisotrc>pic distribution of tlte local xtnagnetic fields by extending tlteKubo-Toyabe model. It is SIIOWII that tlae line slaajce fccr a laiglal)' araisotro)cic s'5'stena ex-laibits claaracteristic features and tlte )ceak positioxv of tlte main line dex'iates comasiderably from the Larmor frequency of the applied field. A brief comune?tt is alsogiven on tlte lixae slaa):>e of tlte rotary resonance exaraaixaed previously by Redfield, which may be useful to iutvestigate tlae low-field NNz]R limve slvape.
