A path integral theory in tlae SU(2) cohev"ent state representation of e]ex?aentary ex-citations in Heisenberg antiferromagnets is developed, in which no assumption ismade on the smallness of spin deviations f'rom the N8el state. Use of the stationaryphase approximation leads to tlve Lagrangian equations in which the nonlinearity in-trinsic to the rnagnon system is fully included at the cost of neglecting quantum fluc-tuations in tlte coherent state basis. Full noxnlinear equations so obtained are of a sin-pie renormalized form in the boson coherent state path integral formulation using theDyson-Maleev transformatioua, Tl'ue formal theory is illustrated to show the existenceunder certain conditions of self-localized rnagnons below the linear O18g]10I1 energyband and of vortex-like modes in two-dimensional cases.
