For a final purpose of produciuag the reliable characteristics of positive ion swarmparameters against tlte electric field, first ;l derivation of the semi-empirical expressionfor the drift velocity of positive ions, vvlnich was formulatecl by Frost is tried, wheretwo constant terms included in the Frost formula are replaced by some functionsweakly dependent on the electric field. Analytical process is based on using the Max-well-Boltzmann transport equations. Tlaen, through tltis procedure, tltc swarm char-acteristics of positive ions in their parexat whole rare gases are reexamint:d from a newpoint of view.
